Rev. Tim Barton

I'm a United Methodist Pastor who loves to teach people how to read their Bible, how to find themselves in God's Story, and how to use both of those skills to make tangible change in this world.

I graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary where I focused on Biblical Hebrew and the Pentateuch + Joshua. I believe that the Bible is one story that leads to Jesus and that all people invited to to drink from the deep well of that story, find themselves at Christ's table, and feast on his abounding love forever.

This sermon looks at John 20 and the scene with Mary Magdalene outside of the tomb of Jesus. By looking at Mary's life we find a resurrection story that helps us understand the hope that we can find in Jesus when everything seems lost.
